When choosing a retirement community, you can compare pricing, amenities, locations, and more. But in the end, the decision often comes down to a simple question: Is it a good fit?

Lasell Village is unique in that we’re a university-based retirement community (located on the same campus as Lasell University), and we’re also a continuing care retirement community.

We have other distinctive features that might also make us a good fit for you….

Lifelong Learning
Lifelong learning is one of the cornerstones of our retirement community, and each resident commits to a personal plan of 450 hours per year dedicated to education and wellness. Residents are able to take classes at Lasell University, alongside degree-seeking students. And faculty members from the university, as well as residents, regularly hold lectures, courses, and educational events at Lasell Village.

Healthcare And Support
Because of our continuing care options, you can “age in place” at Lasell Village, secure in the knowledge that your healthcare needs will be addressed. All of the residents in our independent living units have access to 60 hours per year of healthcare services, at our on-site wellness center (and can pay for additional hours as needed). We also offer supportive living in Lasell Studios and rehab and skilled nursing services in Lasell House. You can rest easy, knowing that you’ll get the level of care and support you might need now, as well as in the future.

Location
Patterned after a classic New England village, we’re located in Newton, Massachusetts, on a beautifully landscaped, 13-acre campus. We’re just 11 miles from downtown Boston and close to the MBTA and commuter rail, for easy connections to Logan International Airport.

Residences
We have 182 independent living units (one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, with and without dens), ranging in size from 640 square feet to 1,933 square feet. All of the units have full-size kitchens, washers and dryers, and individually controlled heating and air conditioning. Some of the units also have patios or balconies.

Dining Options
Our dining options include two restaurant-style venues: a dining room with wait-staff and a café with either wait-staff or self-service. We also have a private dining room, where residents can host special events, and take-out service is available for most meals.

Pet Friendly
We’re a pet-friendly retirement community, and we accept cats and dogs. Our grounds provide ample choices for dog-walking routes, and we even have weather-protected walkways that you and your pooch will love.

Like-Minded Seniors
The individualized, 450-hour education and wellness plan that each resident commits to sets our retirement community apart from all other communities and helps create a community of likeminded seniors! We invite you to experience retirement in a completely different way – one that’s active and intellectually enriching, incorporates learning as a way of being, and is replete with opportunities for new friendships, hobbies, interests, and experiences!

“My 7-year-old son, since birth, has loved to come to Lasell Village to see grandma and grandpa. His review is that, ‘It’s great, just great.’ Lasell has been a wonderful community for my parents for the last ten years. It has been a true home to them and a joy for us to see their happiness. The staff and residents are truly special.”
