At Lasell House, we provide general inpatient care for people who are recovering from surgery or injuries, or who have acute and chronic illnesses, medical conditions, or diseases.
As a skilled nursing facility, we provide 24/7 care, which can include:
- medical care from doctors, nurses, and nurse assistants
- monitoring of vital signs (such as pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and temperature)
- IV therapies (such as IV fluids or medications)
- administration of medications
- wound care management
- therapy (physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy)
We often treat patients who have been in the hospital (for an illness, injury, or surgery), but can’t return home yet. We offer short-term care, long-term care, and end-of-life and hospice care.
Our 38-bed skilled nursing facility has received the highest ranking from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) – a five-star rating! We offer inpatient care for residents of Lasell Village, as well as people in Newton and the Greater Boston area.
For more information about our general inpatient care, please contact Marie-Francoise Maitre, Director of Admissions, at (617) 663-7042 or mmaitre@lasell.edu.
Please note: Lasell House is affiliated with Lasell Village in Newton, Massachusetts, which is a continuing care retirement community that’s only 11 miles from downtown Boston. In addition to providing general inpatient care, we also offer wound care management, joint replacement and orthopedic rehab, stroke recovery and rehab, cardiac rehab, and infection and infectious disease management.
“I had a serious rolling fall down our stairs at home. This put me in the hospital for a week followed by 17 days of successful rehab at Lasell House. The setting is quiet and lovely. The staff is competent and friendly. The food is surprisingly good! I offer my strong recommendation.”
