For more information about Lasell House, please call Marie-Francoise Maitre, (617) 663-7042.
Something that might seem like a mild infection can quickly turn serious, with lasting consequences, and infectious diseases require a high level of management and attention.
At Lasell House, we provide 24/7 care for people with infections and infectious diseases. Our goal is to provide treatment and support that gets you on to the road to recovery and back to your usual activities.
Some of the most common types of infections and infectious diseases include:
- influenza (flu)
- urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- skin infections
- pressure ulcers (sometimes called “bed sores”)
- drug-resistant infections (such as MRSA and CDI)
- sepsis-related infections
- respiratory infections
- mononucleosis (mono)
- sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
- whooping cough
We’re a 38-bed skilled nursing facility that’s been awarded a 5-star Medicare rating (the highest level). We offer infection and infectious disease management for residents of Lasell Village, as well as people in Newton and the Greater Boston area.

“My very great thanks to the rehab center at Lasell House. In a very long stay, I was treated with enormous competence, courtesy, and sympathetic concern, all of which made my experience an exceptional one. If I mention in particular Martin, Edith, Edney, Ed, Vaniya, Jacquie, Ryan, Patrick, Bethany, Caitlin, it is not only because of their care of me, but also because they represent the entire staff of excellence whom I was privileged to have on and at my side. I was indeed the lucky person in it all.”
