University-based retirement communities (UBRCs) are a relatively new concept in senior living, with only a few dozen of them spread across the U.S.
Lasell Village is not only a university retirement community, but we’re also located right on a college campus! We share a 13-acre campus with Lasell University, a private, liberal arts university that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Lifelong Learning
At Lasell Village, lifelong learning is more than just a slogan or tagline – it’s at the core of what we do and who we are. Each resident at Lasell commits to a minimum of 450 hours per year of learning and fitness activities.
Intergenerational Opportunities
Enrolling in courses offered at Lasell University gives our residents an opportunity to study side-by-side with degree-seeking students. Residents can also serve as mentors or advisors for Lasell University student groups and organizations.
Activities
There’s always something going on at Lasell Village and/or Lasell University! From lectures to full-length college courses, cultural offerings to sporting events, the opportunities for learning, entertainment, and engagement are boundless!

Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC)
In addition to being a university based retirement community, Lasell Village is also a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), which means that you can “age in place.” At Lasell Village, you can have peace of mind, knowing that you’ll get the care you need, as you need it.
In addition to our independent living residences (1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments with full kitchens), we also offer supportive care through Lasell Studios and short-term and long-term rehab services through Lasell House. In addition, we have an on-site Wellness Center, with urgent care available 24/7.
