Administrative
Dining Services Assistant Manager
- Assist in supervision of the Dining Room & Cafe staff, provide direction in accordance with organization and departmental policies and procedures
- Assist in the scheduling and training of new staff. Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback in regard to operational and procedural issues as well as monitor and documenting job performance
- Assist in preparing staff schedules to include work assignments, employee training, vacations, and back-up for absent employees
- Assign work tasks & coordinate floor plan worksheets for staff to ensure prompt and courteous service
- Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service immediately as well as report all hazardous conditions and all accidents to your manager immediately
- Follow safety regulations and precautions at all times
- Attend and participate in workshop, seminars, in-service training programs, etc. as directed
- Adheres to regulatory guidelines in the storage of frozen food, perishables, and dry food.
- Assist in the coordination & execution of special events & catering with kitchen personnel & other staff
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Village employees to foster and promote a harmonious working climate conducive to employee morale and productivity
- Address concerns of residents and employees, referring complex issues to the Dining Service Manager
- Responsible for keeping current on all food and beverage policies and procedures; familiar with administrative policies on fire, safety, and disaster
- Ensures set-up and breakdown of stations are done properly and in a timely manner using the closing checklist
- Monitor and serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures as instructed from the Chef
- Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies
- Distribute and collect menus as necessary (resident, staff, daily specials)
- Inspects café and dining room serving stations and kitchen server areas for neatness and cleanliness
- Ensure that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available
- Understand the POS system and its functions: Inputting menus, Receipting / charging residents, guest, and staff correctly, and management center, item management
- Creating floor plans and assigning staff to their positions
- Operate the cash register (POS) for opening and closing & running daily reports
- Correctly use the prep knife to prepare food items for sandwich station and salad bar
- Rotate, label and date all stock to ensure no waste due to spoilage
- Serve meals from the steam table
- Set up and refill salad bar, coffee and soup station as needed
- Delivery of take-out orders are done in a timely and efficient manner
- Clean worktables, salad bar, refrigerators/freezers, etc. as needed
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalency (GED)
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Minimum of three years supervisory experience in a food service setting
- Thrive in a team environment and work well with others
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Must possess the ability to deal cheerfully and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, and visitors
- Must be able to communicate with the staff, and other department supervisors
- Must maintain a rapport with the residents
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday; may need to reach overhead, push/pull/lift objects, or ascend/descend stairs
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.

Part Time Lifeguard
- Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
- Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
- Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility. Vacuum, skim, (as needed) and record (daily) chemical levels of pool.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by management
- Keeps pool area neat
- Pays attention to hazards both in and out of the water (broken pieces of lane line on the deck that people could step on, running kids, etc.) and removing the hazards
- Six months to one year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified;
- CPR Certified;
- Current certification as Lifeguard by a recognized source of training.

Director of HR
- In partnership with the leadership team, define and support a vision and brand as an employer of choice.
- Create externally- and internally-facing communications, including via social media, email, newsletters, and on the website, that showcase Lasell Village as an exceptional place to work.
- Design and roll out an organization-wide values and competencies model that reflect the future of Lasell Village and that become standardized throughout all departmental hiring practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract, recruit, and retain a diverse pipeline of candidates across all departments, with attention to frontline service roles.
- Manage staffing resources, budgets and timelines. Proactively track and report on hiring metrics.
- Proactively partner with managers on a regular basis to recommend potential organizational changes, including additions, and to be able to forecast staffing needs and ensure timely hiring aligned with resident care and operational demands.
- Oversee a comprehensive new hire experience and continuously improve onboarding and orientation programs to provide a welcoming and consistent employee experience.
- Advance organizational performance and capabilities through systematic reviews of leadership, workloads and culture across the organization. Define and help shape “the future of work” at Lasell Village by partnering with our Dean of Education on workforce readiness, change management, technology adoption, skills training, and cultural awareness training.
- Partner with business leaders on how to lead, assess, and develop team members. Create and lead succession planning on a regular basis.
- Serve as HR subject matter expert during strategic planning as well as for any future expansion plans for Lasell Village, ensuring that the Voice of the Employees are represented at all times.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees on HR matters, aiming to coach and empower leaders to resolve conflicts or concerns within their groups.

- Oversee compensation and benefits administration, providing clear guidance and support to employees on benefits, compensation and payroll matters. Partner with finance, overseeing backup payroll administration.
- Build a People Analytics function that will guide investments in employee experience and serve as a dashboard to allow leaders to understand how the People function is serving their groups.
- Continuously evaluate, implement and integrate People-focused technology solutions, including AI and self-service functions, that will drive People effectiveness in a safe and scalable manner.
- Manage all People-related reporting for the organization, including for Board meetings, compliance, and regular leadership meetings.
- Ensure employee data is held with the utmost privacy.
- Lead the performance management process, creating standardized performance management approaches and ensuring timely, fair and consistent evaluations.
- Partner with managers on goal-setting, coaching, and ongoing performance improvement.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or other service-oriented environments.
- Prior direct management experience within HR is required.
- A strategic mindset, paired with an operational focus, that translates organizational goals into HR best practices to ensure operational excellence.
- Demonstrated success in driving change management and cultural shifts.
- Proven experience leveraging technology and data to improve the HR function and the overall employee experience.
- Prior responsibility for budget management (compensation, staffing, employee programs, HR technology), people analytics, compensation planning and reporting.

Dining Room Server
We have open shifts in our Dining Room. The positions are ideal for students looking for flexible schedules and days, or those seeking a 2nd job. We have a no-tipping policy at Lasell Village.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve meals to our residents
- Prepare meals-to-go and deliver to apartments in a timely manner
- Set up dining room for service
- Understand the dining room set up and table numbers
- Be able to answer the phone and use a friendly tone while talking with residents and guests, take reservations, check messages
- Greet residents and guests with a smile and a friendly tone
- Walk guests to their assigned tables
- Operate the POS system to enter customer orders and cash out all guests
- Work together with other team members to ensure residents are served in a timely manner
- Set up, stock, refill, and clean stations according to the opening and closing checklists
- Assist in café serving operations in preparing food items
- Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures
