Hospitality Associate 3- Full Time
POSITION SUMMARY: The Hospitality Associate 3 is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to residents, families, guests, and staff while supporting both front desk operations and transportation needs within the Village. This position includes greeting and assisting residents and visitors, managing communication at the hospitality services desk, driving residents to designated appointments or events. Safety, professionalism, and a warm, helpful demeanor are essential to this role. When not driving, the associate supports hospitality operations and administrative tasks as assigned. Quality customer service is a top priority for everyone at the Village.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Greeting residents, families, guests, and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and a friendly smile.
•  Follow established Emergency Procedures for all medical, fire or security threats.
•  Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards or security concerns to management immediately.
•  Monitor Carepoint, communication and safety systems, and respond appropriately.
•  Notify the Director of Wellness and clinical operations or the Director of Healthcare Operations in the event of a resident’s death.
•  Maintain strict confidentiality of all resident care information to ensure resident rights are protected.
•  Run daily, weekly, and monthly Carepoint reports.
•  Support the flow of communication within the Village; receive and relay messages accurately.
•  Answer telephone calls; determine nature of call and direct calls to the appropriate individual or department.
•  Perform daily tasks, including mail and grocery deliveries, shipping and receiving packages, making copies, password resets, A/V activity support, and assisting with resident requests.
•  Direct transportation calls as needed, and book appointments as requested.
•  Drive 14-passanger shuttle bus (No CDL required)
•  Follow all safety rules, including road laws and hands-free cell phone driving.
•  Drive residents on and off campus, including Dr’s appts, weekly grocery trips and special events.
•  Aid residents as needed, including offering a hand/arm when entering or exiting vehicles.
•  Keep vehicles clean; complete daily vehicle inspections; ensure gas tank is at least half full at the end of shift.
•  Schedule Uber transportation for residents as needed.
•  Coordinate transportation services between residents and drivers.
•  Enforce parking policies and provide directions/information to guests and residents.
•  Create maintenance/housekeeping workorders
•  Maintain the lost and found
•  Adhere to staffing schedules and instructions according to established policies and procedures.
•  Collaborate with other departments regarding evening and weekend needs
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL / VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
•  High school diploma or GED required.
•  Valid U.S. driver’s license with good driving record (annual driving record required).
•  Minimum 1–2 years of professional driving/front desk experience.
JOB SKILLS:
•  Strong customer service skills with a cheerful, professional demeanor.
•  Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
•  Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
•  Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
•  Ability to work well in a team environment.
•  Strong multitasking skills in a busy environment.
•  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook®, and willingness to learn new applications.
•  Professional phone manners and strong interpersonal communication skills.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•  Ability to lift walkers/rollators into vehicles or onto a shuttle bus.
•  Walking to apartments; ascending/descending stairs; prolonged walking.
•  Sitting for extended periods while driving or staffing the hospitality desk.
•  Must be able to move/lift 50 lbs.

Director of HR
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Human Resources is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for leading both the strategic and operational aspects of HR. The role shapes and leads the organization’s people strategy, people operations and cultural evolution to create an exceptional employee experience that supports engagement, inclusion, and retention across the organization.
This position oversees all HR functions including employer branding, organizational design, workforce planning, recruitment and retention, employee relations, training and development (in collaboration with Dean of Education), compliance, benefits, performance management, HR technology, people analytics, and organizational culture. The Director proactively advises senior leadership and partners closely with the President and leadership team to build innovative practices and systems that support long-term organizational strength, while also responding with urgency and care to the day-to-day realities of a service-oriented environment.
This role manages two HR team members and oversees HR vendor relations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Employer Branding & Communications
  • In partnership with the leadership team, define and support a vision and brand as an employer of choice.
  • Create externally- and internally-facing communications, including via social media, email, newsletters, and on the website, that showcase Lasell Village as an exceptional place to work.
Recruitment & Staffing
  • Design and roll out an organization-wide values and competencies model that reflect the future of Lasell Village and that become standardized throughout all departmental hiring practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, recruit, and retain a diverse pipeline of candidates across all departments, with attention to frontline service roles.
  • Manage staffing resources, budgets and timelines. Proactively track and report on hiring metrics.
  • Proactively partner with managers on a regular basis to recommend potential organizational changes, including additions, and to be able to forecast staffing needs and ensure timely hiring aligned with resident care and operational demands.
  • Oversee a comprehensive new hire experience and continuously improve onboarding and orientation programs to provide a welcoming and consistent employee experience.
Organizational Design
  • Advance organizational performance and capabilities through systematic reviews of leadership, workloads and culture across the organization. Define and help shape “the future of work” at Lasell Village by partnering with our Dean of Education on workforce readiness, change management, technology adoption, skills training, and cultural awareness training.
  • Partner with business leaders on how to lead, assess, and develop team members. Create and lead succession planning on a regular basis.
  • Serve as HR subject matter expert during strategic planning as well as for any future expansion plans for Lasell Village, ensuring that the Voice of the Employees are represented at all times.
Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees on HR matters, aiming to coach and empower leaders to resolve conflicts or concerns within their groups.
  • Address employee concerns with urgency, sensitivity, confidentiality, fairness, and respect.
  • Build and maintain positive employee relations through proactive communication, constructive conflict resolution, and recognition programs.
  • Regularly collect, assess, and recommend actions based on employee insights, and surface areas of opportunity to drive a better employee experience and proactively address potential concern areas before they escalate.
  • Drive ongoing employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, appreciation events, and multiple channels for employee voice.
Training & Development
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities across departments.
  • Equip managers with leadership, compliance, and supervisory skills that strengthen accountability and communication.
  • Support career pathways for employees, fostering retention and growth.
Compliance & Policy Administration
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (EEOC, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Maintain and regularly update the employee handbook, HR policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee workplace safety initiatives and partner on risk management.
Rewards, Compensation & Benefits
  • Lead administration of benefits and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and cost-effectiveness. Work with vendors to achieve optimal benefits offerings at a reasonable cost. Explore and recommend innovative benefits and rewards offerings to provide more comprehensive employee support.
  • Conduct regular market and internal assessments to ensure that employees are being paid fairly. Guide compensation planning, and partner with finance leadership on compensation budgeting.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration, providing clear guidance and support to employees on benefits, compensation and payroll matters. Partner with finance, overseeing backup payroll administration.
Technology, Reporting & Data
  • Build a People Analytics function that will guide investments in employee experience and serve as a dashboard to allow leaders to understand how the People function is serving their groups.
  • Continuously evaluate, implement and integrate People-focused technology solutions, including AI and self-service functions, that will drive People effectiveness in a safe and scalable manner.
  • Manage all People-related reporting for the organization, including for Board meetings, compliance, and regular leadership meetings.
  • Ensure employee data is held with the utmost privacy.
Performance & Culture
  • Lead the performance management process, creating standardized performance management approaches and ensuring timely, fair and consistent evaluations.
  • Partner with managers on goal-setting, coaching, and ongoing performance improvement.
  • Champion an inclusive, employee-centered culture that reflects Lasell Village’s mission and values.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or other service-oriented environments.
  • Prior direct management experience within HR is required.
  • A strategic mindset, paired with an operational focus, that translates organizational goals into HR best practices to ensure operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated success in driving change management and cultural shifts.
  • Proven experience leveraging technology and data to improve the HR function and the overall employee experience.
  • Prior responsibility for budget management (compensation, staffing, employee programs, HR technology), people analytics, compensation planning and reporting.
  • Strong ability to apply knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices across a diverse workforce made up of front-line employees, professionals, emerging leaders, and executives.
  • Program design and innovation abilities, with a track record of launching new employee initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong executive presence and a demonstrated ability to build trusted, collaborative relationships across all levels of an organization.

Dining Room Server

We have open shifts in our Dining Room. The positions are ideal for students looking for flexible schedules and days, or those seeking a 2nd job. We have a no-tipping policy at Lasell Village.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve meals to our residents
  • Prepare meals-to-go and deliver to apartments in a timely manner
  • Set up dining room for service
  • Understand the dining room set up and table numbers
  • Be able to answer the phone and use a friendly tone while talking with residents and guests, take reservations, check messages
  • Greet residents and guests with a smile and a friendly tone
  • Walk guests to their assigned tables
  • Operate the POS system to enter customer orders and cash out all guests
  • Work together with other team members to ensure residents are served in a timely manner
  • Set up, stock, refill, and clean stations according to the opening and closing checklists
  • Assist in café serving operations in preparing food items
  • Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures
